Lecture, “Light. Form. Matter.”
23 May 2022

Wednesday 25th May 2022, 3pm – 5pm

Politecnico di Bari

Grounded in a rigorous design process that balances matter, forces, and purpose, Luca Poian explores architecture as a discipline where material, structure, and meaning converge. In Light. Form. Matter., he reflects on architecture’s capacity to reveal its own making—where structure becomes narrative and construction becomes poetry. Deeply rooted in stereotomy and tectonic thinking, his work understands construction not only as technique, but as a truthful expression of material, gravity, and craft. The lecture invites students to look beyond image and surface, toward an architecture grounded in material honesty, enduring values, and the pursuit of truth as a pathway to beauty.
