The proposal reimagines Naples’ eastern urban landscape as a connected, sustainable and vibrant metropolitan destination, bringing together public spaces, integrated mobility and contemporary civic architecture to enhance quality of life.

At its heart, a network of three distinctive landscapes establishes a new identity for the district: a linear urban forest inspired by Capodimonte, a central park shaped by the evocative topography of Vesuvius, and a botanical piazza connecting the city to the new regional headquarters. Together, these spaces foster biodiversity, encourage social interaction and create a rich sequence of public experiences.

A renewed intermodal hub places people at the centre of urban mobility, integrating rail, bus, cycling and pedestrian networks into a coherent system. By rationalising traffic and parking, reclaiming surface space and prioritising active transport, the project promotes cleaner mobility and a more accessible, human-centred city.

The new regional headquarters emerges as a defining urban landmark, combining flexible workspaces, planted terraces and transparent ground-floor functions that strengthen its relationship with the city and the Gulf of Naples. Green corridors and solar pergolas further integrate environmental performance into the architectural vision.

Through the interplay of landscape, infrastructure and architecture, the project transforms underused areas into a connected urban ecosystem, establishing a resilient and distinctive vision for Naples’ future—one where ecological regeneration and civic life shape a more sustainable metropolitan identity.
